The time to go to college has finally come around so while I begin study at London College of Fashion Bee's Teas will have to close=:( but it won't be long before the kettles are boiling again as Bee's Teas will open over the Christmas season=:)
I would like to thank everyone who supported the tearooms over the Summer and look forward to seeing you all again for some special Christmas tea and mince pies over the festive season! Thanks to all those who drew on our visitors book/easel,the messages and drawings are really special, who knows maybe it inspired the next Van Gogh!!!

I have to say it will be nice to be the customer for a change when I go to London and I will keep you updated on my tea exploits!!!!So although I'll miss Bee's Teas I'am sure going to enjoy being on the other side of the counter for a change!!
Christmas will bring some extra teas to the menu of 22,a seasonal Christmas tea will be on offer as well as a Green tea latte(the tea alternative to coffee) and a very special white tea which opens and flowers in the pot and many more....!!I look forward to watching new tea experiences unfold in the glass teapots!!

Slan for now,I'll continue blog any interesting tea stories from London!!!
After the succesful launch in June Bee's Teas has been a hive of activity and there has been very little time to blog!!!A good complaint to have!!! I am delighted to say that I was recently interviewed by Business Munster Magazine and Bee's Teas is the lead story for Kerry in the September edition,making the front page!You can find it for sale at all good newsagents nationwide.Although this is not our first claim to fame;
The Kerryman reviewed Bee's Teas on June4th,achieving 4 out of 5 stars, our reviewers identity will remain a mystery despite many regulars trying to form an identity profile!!Who knows maybe we'll have a tea line up soon!!
Then the Kerryseye featured our launch on June 26th.
Hopefully Bee's Teas will continue to make the news!
At Bee's Teas Innocent Smoothies are offered as an alternative to tea and coffee. They are just as popular with grown ups as they are with little people!!The smoothies are 100% pure fruit containing NO sugar, concentrates or anything artificial. They are simply just fruit and come in a range of mouth watering flavours such as mango and passion fruit, blackberries and boysenberries and cranberries and raspberries.
The latest initiative by the Innocent family is a buy one get one tree. For every special tree smoothie sold a tree is planted in India.
Local groups are established and trained on how best to look after trees
the groups buy and plant seedlings of their choice of species, and are encouraged to grow those with a variety of benefits such as food, medicine, shade or soil protection.
for every tree they grow, each individual planter receives a quarterly payment for the next 10 years. This can represent 15% of their total income, depending on how many trees they plant.
As the trees mature they can provide crops for income or food for the local community. The
tree planting project also provides ongoing education on sustainable agriculture for the local community.
Checks continue for another 20 years so the life of all trees planted is guaranteed for
at least 30 years.
To date Bee's Teas has planted 5 trees. So buy a smoothie and give a tree, its as pure and simple as whats in the smoothie itself!!

After a busy day I shut the door at 5 o clock as the rain poured down!In need of replenishment I poured myself a cup of Bad weather tea-a blend of anis, honey, blackberry, raspberry, fennel, sunflower, hawthorn, hazelnut, peony, elderberry, mint and apple.Feeling reinvigorated I decided to brave the rain with a bright brolly and go and see one of my favourite artists-Carol Cronin. The puddle dodging was worth it!Her exhibition is magnificent. She captures the majestic Atlantic ocean local dingle sheep, people and scenery with great style.Go see it, rain or shine it will inspire you!

Here at Bee's Teas we aren't tea totalers!!We sell coffee as well as tea.The coffee is a dark roast organic, fairtrade bean. Its a Bee's Teas exclusive coffee blended by the experts at Mahers Pure Coffee! The result is a rich aromatic pure bean produced in an ethical, sustainable and fair environment.Mmmm wake up and smell the coffee!!!!!!!!
I recently heard on a programme about Chelsea flower show that used coffee grounds can act as slug repellents.I have just finished planting the border at Bee's Teas,it has an array of roses, lupins, nepetia and foxgloves-all perfect for a snail and slug dinner party!!!As I grind my own coffee, I am going to try and use the coffee grinds as repellent!!A good way to reduce waste too!!I'll keep you posted, hopefully it will keep slugs and snails at bay!!After all coffee keeps people from working at snails pace!!
I am starting this blog under the watchful eye of my cat Kitty who has as much knowledge of blogs as I have!!!! I have decided to start this blog to let people know a little bit more about Bee's Teas. This blog will act as a diary of Bee's Teas.
Bee's Teas all began to take shape last October when on a gap year I decided I wanted to set up a proper tearooms selling real loose tea in real china cups no teabags allowed!!I felt tea had taken a back seat during the coffee revolution and now it was teas turn to reign supreme again. After much research I found a whole host of teas and herbal infusions and formed a menu of 22 different teas and herbal infusions! As well as teas I wanted to give people the taste of real homemade food.So I decided to make the dream a reality and slowly but surely I transformed the loft behind my Uncle's pub into Bee's Teas a bright and happy place with colourful oilcloths, gingham seat cushions and an array of mismatch china. Finally on the third of May Bee's Teas welcomed its first customers.
The ethos of Bee's Teas is a simple but important one nonetheless!I use only the best ingredients to make delicious homemade treats and savouries!I use Local and Organic produce wherever possible.I only ever use Organic flours, chocolate, preserved fruits and nuts, natural sugars,Local
free range Lispole eggs and milk, cream and butter which comes from the farms.I also sell local cheeses all handmade by my neighbour Maya Binder, an artisan C
heesemaker.
I will try and update this blog as often as possible but living in a beautiful rural area does have its faults!!!!the lack of broadband could make blogging difficult!!!
So in short Bee's Teas is a pretty old fashioned tearooms with a serious tea drinking problem!!!!
